Megan Fox off the Vegan Wagon
Hey, y’all! This isn’t exactly hot off the presses, since back in September of this year Megan Fox revealed that she is no longer following a strict vegan diet. After following a raw, plant based diet for about two years, the beautiful actress confessed that she felt too slight and was having trouble maintaining a healthy weight due to too much weight loss. Most of us would love to have that problem, right? While we are all proud of Megan for taking a stand against a culture too obsessed with thin, we still feel it is important to remind people of the reason that so many health and world conscious celebrities have chosen the vegan lifestyle. Many do maintain it, more out of a sense of selfless sacrifice for the state of the planet than for vanity.
In a strict vegan diet, people eschew all animal products, including those produced by animals who are not slaughtered in the process. Vegans do not eat dairy products: no butter, cheese, yogurt, or eggs. Some of the new class of vegans, including former President Bill Clinton, even abstain from nuts, avocados, and plant based oils of all kinds. This extreme form of veganism is proven to reverse and heal heart disease, even for advanced patients. In fact, for people with dangerous heart disease, following this stricter vegan diet offers as much protection for the body as ADT does for the home.
If you don’t feel you can go all the way vegan, even adopting a vegetarian diet can help you a great deal. Eating mostly vegetables, fruits, and whole unprocessed grains with the inclusion of dairy products and plant oils still helps reduce your carbon footprint substantially.
